If you are anything like me then YouTube is always on.
Cable TV is no longer the background noise while you are doing mundane tasks. Especially during the current state of the world, I find my screen time is mostly spent on YouTube. Because of this I am always finding new channels and binging their content, such as Fashion Youtubers.
Fashion YouTube Channels are such a great way to learn more about the industry and update your wardrobe.
And you might be wondering what YouTube channels you should watch. Well, if you are, watch these seven YouTube channels covering fashion advice, news, and critiques that are all unique and worth the binge.
Ashley is a 22 year old USC film student graduate who thrives in aesthetics and great fashion and lifestyle advice. Her videos are so captivating and beautifully shot and structured (probably due to her film background) and address topics for young adults that most creators do not. Her fashion videos are unique and informative and she always has the best thrift hauls and style advice. I cannot recommend her channel enough.
Have you ever wondered how accurate the fashion is in Stranger Things? Or maybe Grease? Well the series “Would They Wear That?” on Glamour Magazine’s YouTube channel is the perfect videos to bing watch. Fashion historians and experts breakdown each layer of famous outfits from popular movies and TV shows, like Mulan and Mad Men, and it is so interesting. You get to find out whether the TV show accurately portrays the era that they show is based in or if they missed the mark. Once you watch one you will want to watch them all.
I found Micarah’s channel on a whim, thanks to YouTube’s algorithm recommending me any and every video related to Greta Gerwig’s Little Women (2019). Micarah did a video on why the costumes in the film were entirely inaccurate and underwhelming. And the video is not only funny, but very informative. Micarah has a unique sense of humor and a way with designing clothing. She has recreated many iconic looks for less like Ariana Grande’s Grammy dress, Kylie Jenner’s red carpet looks, and Disney Princess looks. Her quick wit and design skills make her videos so addicting.
Lyss’ channel I would say is a bit of an underrated gem. She has such radiating positivity that is a guarantee that you will watch her videos smiling ear to ear. Besides this, she also has great styling videos. Ranging from lookbooks, to styling particular clothing pieces, to creating outfits based on songs. Her channel is so much fun and so are her outfit choices. I highly recommend checking out her youtube channel.
Canadian youtuber, Koleen Diaz, is a stylish fashionista with an edgy street wear style. All of Koleen’s videos are edited to perfection showcasing lookbooks, Outfits Of The Days, and specific mood styling like causal looks, 90s looks and more. Her style reminds me a lot of something like Kylie Jenner’s but more affordable. She also has an array of music and beauty videos that are just as interesting.
Sarah Rae Vargas
One of the most down to earth creators on the platform, Sarah Rae Vargas is relatable and entertaining to watch. Her channel mainly consist of try-on hauls from different brands, both plus-size and straight size stores. And each videos has clips of how each piece looks on Sarah and analyzing the material and fit. So, if you want to know how clothing from brands like ASOS, Boohoo, Torrid, fit then this is the channel to watch.
HauteLeMode channel creator, Luke, is a fashion critic who breaks down fashion industry and news for the everyday person. He speaks on new releases and updates from fashion brands, analyzes runway looks from high fashion brands. Also, Luke has great commentary on which celebrities’ looks on the red carpet are a hit or miss. He is incredibly entertaining and informative on what makes a look an iconic moment or one you may never want to see again.
You must watch these YouTube channels to be engrossed in the fashion world! I promise they are worth watching.
