I’m Michelle an esthetician but more specifically, a lash & brow stylist. Brows are my thing! However, lashes and brows make a great combo. Before the brows and lashes, facials were what I wanted to do. Specifically acne facials. I have a passion for acne, specifically healing it. As a young teen and into my mid 20s (I’m 30) I suffered from acne.
Once I cleared my acne, I wanted to focus on helping other people heal their skin.
My approach with skin care is from the inside out and with organic or clean products. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good chemical peel and it definitely works but, not everyone’s skin is meant for that strong of a product. Sometimes I’ve found that their acne was being caused themselves by using the totally wrong product! Acne was something that always made me feel self-conscious and I love being able to help people overcome that feeling. Especially as a teen, acne controls our lives and makes us feel like we’re not as beautiful as someone with gorgeous skin.
What I’ve realized by being in this business is that everyone has the ability to have gorgeous skin, it just requires more work and better products than what some other people use. Not everyone’s skin is the same. What may work for someone doesn’t mean it works for you, even if they’re beauty bloggers promoting a product. To really understand the person’s skin and what kind of acne they have, you have to analyze and see the skin and conditions you’re working with. No matter what, I ALWAYS recommend a client come for a consultation to see what kind of treatments we should move forward with. Skin analysis is my best friend when it comes to recommending products. They are the key to my passion for healing acne. Anyways, I can go on and on but, I’ll save it for another article 🙂
