Fall in Love with Autumn

Now that the weather is starting to get colder, the wind is getting stronger, and the leaves are falling it’s time to get ready for autumn! Autumn, also called “fall”, is one of the most widely celebrated seasons. Everyone loves to cool off in the sweet breeze after the heat of the summer. Not to mention that autumn brings so many of the things we love back around. Food, clothes, activities, and fun holidays are all a part of what makes autumn so popular. So, what can you do to fall in love with autumn?

Fall into Your Closet

One of the most exciting parts of fall weather is that it gets cooler and the clothes we wear change. Let’s start with a classic autumn staple: sweaters. Sweaters are not only a cute piece to add to your wardrobe, they are also super versatile and useful in cold weather. You can wear sweaters with skirts, pants, or even dresses. There are also thousands of different colors and styles of sweater. With sweaters and other, similar jackets, you can layer your clothing. Layers add dimension to your looks for a bigger or stronger statement. To complete your fall closet, add some boots. There are high boots, ankle boots, black ones, brown ones, and more. They come in all shapes and sizes. So, whatever suits your fancy – there are boots to match.

Fall in Love with Autumn Food

Of course you’ll want to celebrate the autumn season with food. The obvious choice is to start with pumpkin. Pumpkin pie, pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin seeds, and so much more. Take a look at this at-home PSL recipe! In addition to pumpkin, apples are another fall classic. Anything apple cinnamon or apple spice flavored will help you get into the fall spirit. Even an apple snack like candy apples or caramel apples are a simple way to fall in love with autumn. Speaking of apples, don’t forget about cider! A delicious fall drink, cider can be alcoholic or not. Sweet fall classics like apple pie or squash soup pair wonderfully with cider. And when it gets a bit colder – hot chocolate!

Fall in Love with Autumn Activities

Another one of the best parts about the autumn season is all of the fun activities that go with it. With October and November, we come closer to Halloween and Thanksgiving. As a result, there are all kinds of events to celebrate with. For example, throw a murder mystery party or attend a costume party for Halloween. Many orchards and farms are in full bloom for the gorgeous weather. For example, apple picking, wine tastings, and pumpkin picking are all popular fall activities that will help get you in the mood. If you really like a scare, autumn is also the perfect time to cuddle inside and watch a scary movie. Or you could venture out and challenge yourself in a haunted house!

What is your favorite autumn activity?
