Easy Homemade Waters For a Healthier and Prettier You

Summer is here. Imagine sitting in your balcony or garden, soaking the sun and enjoying your favorite drink. Now how about I replace your drink that you’re enjoying with another drink that improves your metabolism? Not only does it help you get rid of bloating, it also gives you an amazing glow! It’s not sweet but it’s tasty and immensely beneficial for your health.  

So let’s talk about some flavored recipes that are simple and can achieve many such objectives simultaneously. These are homemade waters for a healthier and prettier you.

Cucumber-lemon water

In a one litre water bottle put ½ peeled and sliced cucumber, ½ thinly sliced lemon, 2 tsp grated ginger, 3 tsp mint leaves. Now press with a wooden spoon for 1-2 minutes and then fill the bottle with water. Refrigerate for an hour and then you can drink this water throughout the day. 

This easy recipe offers innumerable number of benefits. This includes increasing your metabolism, detoxifying your body, and giving you a glow. With ginger and mint soothing your stomach. It also prevents bloating and also curbs sweet cravings. Ginger specially here has countless benefits such as being anti- inflammatory, balancing blood sugars, helping control cholesterol and fastening weight loss.

Now let’s go to the second option.

Berry infused water

Take 1/2 small cup of mixed berries – raspberries, blueberries, blackberries and strawberries, 1/2 lime and ½ of an orange. Cut the lime and orange into thin slices. Put these fruits at the bottom of a 1 litre water bottle and repeat the above mentioned process starting with the wooden spoon.

Lime and orange are high in vitamin C. This is an amazing antioxidant. Antioxidants protect your body from cancers and helps your body detoxify of the leftover toxins. Vitamin C is a diuretic, means it will help you get rid of extra sodium and as a result you will lose inches. Coming to berries, they are high in vitamin A which is again an antioxidant.

Apple – cinnamon water

For this one, take 1 apple, cut thin slices and put at the bottom of the bottle. Now repeat the wooden ladle process and fill with water. Now put pinch of cinnamon and refrigerate for an hour. Take out and put 3 tsp apple cider vinegar in it, mix and serve.
Apple cider vinegar is consumed to lower cholesterol. It’s consumption throughout the day can also ensure you have a sustained higher metabolism. Apple is nature’s way to gift us antioxidant, hence it helps to detoxify the body.

These easy to make drinks should be consumed within 7-8 hrs. They are a real relief to the stomach in this scorching heat. Substitute these drinks with your regular ‘sugar free’ or ‘diet’ drinks without guilt and you will experience the changes yourself in your body. The homemade waters will result in a healthier and prettier you!
